Santi’s New Single Is An Ode To A Fun Time

Santi has a great year with tracks like Icy and Freaky and some amazing features like Odunsi’s Alté Cruise and Tay Iwar’s SpaceThe young master is back with Rapid Fire featuring the Warrior Princess, Ghana’s Amaarae and South African Shane Eagle.

The Genio Bambino-produced joint is very 2000s Dancehall vibes, with a gangsta twist. A cool verse from Shane Eagle, a vocal transition From Tomi Agape moves the listener from Santi to Amaarae’s beautiful soft vocals and the combination of all these ingredients makes this international pot of stew very tasty.

The song, released earlier today is another perfect weekend jam and is another guarantee of Santi’s musical versatility.

Jamal Swiss x Mich Straaw Is A Literal Jam

Following the success of his last single with KJ Sunmon Mainland Cruiserapper Jamal Swiss decided to appreciate his fans with new music. On Sunday night, the artist released the Mich Straaw aided JAM and we have nothing but thanks for him.

Produced by the very talented Jay Blakez, JAM is definitely a jam. The track is a smooth one with vocals from Mich Straaw and bars from Jamal.

It is obvious that Jamal Swiss is becoming more confident in sharing his art and we know that Nigeria won’t be able to ignore him moving forward like this.

Kyrian Asher’s Latest Is For Reclaiming Your Nights

Kyrian Asher never fails to convey his exact emotion through his music. The singer/producer/songwriter is one who is consistent with delivering deliberate content.

His second single of the year, Jokers & Joyrides after Noctem Drive Neon is dedicated to the ones taking themselves back from the many. Kyrian speaks about his being away from the spotlight for a little while and declares that he’s coming back full throttle with every intention of controlling his art and narrative.

Another masterpiece from the Kyrian Asher.

New From Nonso Amadi & Kida Kudz

Nonso Amadi has done some good work since releasing No Crime in June this year being featured on Santi’s Freaky and the Palmwine Music 2 hit System Fail.

The lover boy has come back with his second release of the year with help from British-Nigerian rapper Kida Kudz. The song, released this morning does have a little deviation from the usual Nonso Amadi. With help from Kida Kudz, the singer drops a weekend jam that is also a sweet serenade. Kida Kudz’s verse also brings just the right sprinkle of hard guy to the track.

Lanaire x King Solomon’s EP Is Packing Historical Punches – Ancient History

We know 19-year-old Lanaire Aderemi as Verse Writer; the passionate feminist, spoken-word artist, poet, writer and art enthusiast; we’re adding music to that list now though with the release of her debut EP, a collab with UK-based rapper King Solomon Ancient History.

Knowing the principles Lanaire stands for, it’s no surprise that the project is centred on breaking constructs of gender and race. The artists describe the EP as ‘an EP for the culture. Explore and deconstruct the racial politics and Western ideals present in and surrounding the black community’. The Of Ivory and Ink author has never shied away from using music in her expression (as with her performance at the Lemon Curd 2.0), but this is definitely the first time she’s put it out in a way that we can always go back and listen. Ancient History explores themes from white privilege to police brutality to why black women are angry. Speaking about the inspiration behind the project, King Solomon said ‘at a time were identity, race and politics are as important as ever, we hope this EP helps move certain conversations and minds in the right direction’. The EP has amazing vocals from King Solomon and Lanaire and pulls production from Gold, JBZ Beats, The Beat Plug and Esoteric Records.

Lanaire is doing her part in saving the world and shifting paradigms and The PGM Club gives this beautiful compilation of work a 5-star rating.

Zamir Is Out With FAST

After his Hate video, Zamir is out with his first single of 2018 FAST.

The rapper is definitely living his best Hip-Hop life with this Hvrry-produced joint and through all the pressure, King Zamir is not about to buckle under any kind of pressure. Zamir talks about all the hard work he’s put into his craft so far and how much more fire he’s bringing to the game.

Hits Back To Back – New New From Teni The Entertainer

Since hitting the Nigerian Music scene last year with her single Fargin, Teniola Apata aka Teni the Entertainer aka Teni Makanaki has not stopped with the back to back hits, lighting up 2018 with her singles Wait, Lagos, Askamaya and Fake Jersey, Teni has proven that she is the entertainer.

A while ago on Twitter, Teni asked fans if they’d rather dance to her next hit or be put in their feels and after receiving equal enthusiasm from Nigeria for both sides, the singer released two hits in the early hours of this morning, each song to fit a mood. The first Case is a love song with very simple, but deep lyrics describing the extent to which she would go for her lover. Shake Am is more up-tempo perfect for that weekend faaji mood.

A rare. Debut – Odunsi’s First Album

Pulling off a debut project that will make history books is hard. Making music that is inter-generational is even harder, but Odunsi has done it. The singer’s debut album premiered on the PGM Live radio show last Wednesday, an amazing private listening party on Thursday and the official public release on all platforms finally came through on Friday.

rare. is Odunsi’s first debut and it’s taken this vanguard two years to come through with this project. While some fans were mad that it’s taken their fave so long to put out a compilation, one listen to this superstar quality debut and you’ll understand why. The project samples the Funk/Disco sounds of the 70s/80s and some spins on 90s Hip-Hop and this has to be the best spin on the sounds produced this year and with such a superb blend of sound, you can’t really hate Odunsi’s music. With rare. we see Odunsi take sole charge of his brand aesthetic, adding to the redefinition of what it is to be an African artist in this age.
