You Can Now Sing Along To Funbi’s ‘Show Your Colour’

This writer is so happy to see artists taking lyrics more seriously because it can pain when you hear a fire track and you can’t find anything on the lyrics.

BarelyAnyHook gave a self-shot video diary type lyric video for the fan favourite Waves Freestylethe official video for Odunsi’s falling has the lyrics going along with the audio 80’s karaoke style and the artist recently released a lyric video for his song with Runtown star signs and now, we can sing along to Funbi’s Show Your Colour.

Ahead of the release of his debut EP, Funbi released a trailer for the Serenade EP (the anticipation almost killed this writer),  and shortly after, the singer released his amazing debut and continuing the trail, Funbi has released the lyric video to Show Your Colour. The 88 Factor production stars the beautiful Amiola.

Enjoy the music and learn the lyrics.

Listen To ‘You’ By Zarion Uti

Zarion Uti is set up to end the year on a great note.

The singer has stayed adequately consistent with his music this year to keep us listening with his singles Rebel, Ayé (featuring Psycho YP) and Finito (featuring AYLØ), the singer has done enough to keep his presence tangible throughout this year.

On Wednesday, Zarion Uti came out with his latest titled You, produced by Chillz. The song has Zarion giving his crush undivided attention and showing an equally intense desire to meet her with lyrics If Uber no dey work/Make we call Taxify.

The song is a catchy one with just enough feel-good to lift your spirit.

New Studio Magic x Ajebutter 22

We’ve heard a ton of hits from Studio Magic and Ajebutter 22 and we’ve generally come to expect a hit whenever these guys come together.

After the facelift for Ghana Bounce, Studio Magic and Ajebutter 22 have dropped another one and it’s called Standard Guy produced by Studio Magic’s Platinum Toxx. The song has Ajebutter’s signature laid-back vocals over a mixture of equally calm instrumentals and heavy 808 bounce.

Nothing less than a jam.

Meet the Mayor Of Lagos

Since the release of his debut single Eleko, DMW signee Mayorkun has become one of the few artists with no bad songs. The singer has continued to feed Nigeria good music and it is with joy inna mi left breast that I bring the good tidings of the release of his debut album The Mayor of Lag0s (TMOL).

CHx Is Back Again – With Paybac This Time

After releasing the heated collab with Boogey Never Enoughace producer Charlie x – stylized CHx – is back again with another project, this time in collaboration with rapper Paybac: AUTOPILOT.

We see CHx try something different in terms of production on this project; the simpler beats and movements are easy to appreciate and enjoy. Paybac isn’t hesitant to hurl fire on this project either, the storyteller comes uncensored for this compilation of emotion. The album keeps one oscillating between YOLO and a reminisce, and honestly it’s a mix you cannot help but enjoy. More talent comes from artist JazzZ, ODC, Djaji and Gigi.

Bacardi & Star Signs – Learn The Lyrics

After the video for falling, Odunsi has released a lyric video for his song with Runtown star signs.

Just like he did with his official video for falling, Odunsi is giving fans the luxury of singing along to the music while enjoying aesthetics with this video. The video, directed and edited by Braylen Dion shows us the carefree, almost faerie-like vibe of the girl that likes to party, drink Bacardi straight and talk about star signs.

It’s nice to see artists interested in engaging their audience like this, and we do hope others jump on this bandwagon.

CHx & Boogey Present “Never Enough”

“Never Enough” is a six-song collaboration project from Boogey, arguably one of Nigeria’s best storytelling rapper, and the masked producer, CHx.

R&B singer/songwriter Funbi is out with his debut EP Serenade. Prior to the release of the EP, the singer came out with a trailer to build enough anticipation for the project. It’s a double celebration for the artist as his debut EP hits streaming platforms on his birthday today.

Meet Hamzaa 6 Different Ways

Soul singer Hamzaa has released her debut EP First Signs Of Me.

After teasing with Stranded Love, You and finally BreathingHamzaa has released the compilation of all her six sides as an introduction to her ever-growing audience. Already, You and Breathing have visuals to go with the amazing audio tracks and we hope there’s more. Hamzaa is showing with First Signs Of Me that she is no longer afraid of herself, telling tales of her heartbreak, pain and triumph with her music. The singer obviously seeks to inspire and encourage with this painstakingly honest EP “You’re going to come into a place where you’re going to fall in love and you’re going to feel heartbreak but you’re actually going to be fine” she says, reflecting on her past, “That’s how life works”. The EP features three new songs from this beautiful songstress to create the complete experience of who Hamzaa is.  The project boasts production from the likes of Emeli Sande, Jacob Attwool and Pantha.

Coming out of the sunken place is a hard journey, but Hamzaa is saying to her listeners “If I can do it, you can too.”
