Ever since ‘Show You Off’ with seasoned producer Shizzi and Walshy Fire of Major Lazer, WurlD’s brilliant songwriting and chilling vocals have been there for all to see. No one could deny the refreshing originality embedded in his ever-mutating sound. But WurlD just wasn’t getting the attention he deserved. It wasn’t until “I Love Girls With Trobul” his well-received joint tape with Sarz, with standouts like ‘Mad’ and ‘Ego’, as well as his killer-feature on Davido’s star-studded, ‘Sweet In The Middle’ that WurlD’s potential was traded for prominence.
Four months into 2020, WurlD is finally giving us his first single of the year. For this new tune titled ‘Love Nobody’, WurlD’s striking pen again collides with a pop radio-friendly melody poised for spins on the airwaves. Produced by TMXO, the song is a soft blend of electro and house with splashes of Afropop elements.
The message of the song is simple; when it comes to woman, WulrD can’t afford to share. Across the record, he details his romance with his sweetheart and the exclusivity they mutually agree to. “I don’t want my baby next to nobody,” he warbles in the chorus.
