Just a few months after releasing her well-received sophomore album “Bigger Than Four Walls”, Nigerian-Canadian singer Tome is back already with a new single titled ‘I Pray’. This record, however, comes in a pack of three including the official lead single featuring popular Jamaican act, Sean Kingston; the extended version which solely features Tome; and the French version titled ‘Je Prie’.
This record finds Tome taking us all to Jamaica as she lays her top-notch pen game and stunning vocals over reggae instrumental. This further proves the point that she can’t be constrained to a particular genre as exemplified in her latest project “Bt4w” which saw her working with several palettes of sounds over 10 tracks.
As she sings, she reminds everyone that she’s intolerant of negative energy. “No fighting, no cousin, no war/ just love and affection for all/ When you come around lift my spirits off or you can take a bow,” she points out. Sean Kingston on his part looks up to the heavens as he cries, “watch your blessings fall down on me, prayer goes to you.”
