As she promised last week, Teni has released a new single ‘Billionaire‘, the first single off her 6-track debut EP of the same title. This new record comes just a couple of months after her last offering, the romantic ‘Power Rangers‘ where she wished for superpowers to help secure the affection of her love interest.
‘Billionaire’, is an up-tempo record, rich in instrumentation and overflowing with ambition which provides a perfect blend of a dance record with a declarative and prayerful lyrics. Proudly weaving together Yoruba and English over ‘alujo‘-laced percussions, Teni sings of her lofty dreams of being a billionaire as well as the luxury and excess that comes with being one.
Remember, the “Billionaire” EP comes out in just a week from now, on Friday, October 11.

Last week, we reported that Show Dem Camp is set to release their second 2019 project “The Palmwine Express” in a few days. Just a few hours ago, the iconic rap duo heightened the anticipation for the album by unveiling the mouth-watering tracklist for the project; the third instalment in their Palmwine Music series.
Show Dem Camp kicked off the Palmwine Music series in 2017 with a 6-track EP that featured appearances from Odunsi (The Engine), BOJ, Funbi, Ladipoe and Ajebutter 22. Following the success of that tape, they also launched their annual Palmwine Music Festival that same year. In 2018, the duo released the second instalment of the series, a 10-track project this time, with an expansive guest list that includes Nonso Amadi, Moelogo, Tomi Agape, Worlasi, Flash, Burna Boy, and Falana. Frequent collaborators, BOJ, Ajebutter 22 and Ladipoe also reappeared on “Palmwine Music 2.”
On this highly collaborative project, Show Dem Camp is bringing along a host of friends, frequent collaborators and other super gifted acts. Across the album, you’d be hearing the familiar vocal contributions of Funbi, Nonso Amadi, Boj, Moelogo and Tomi Thomas who had all appeared either on Palmwine Music 1 or 2. The Palmwine Music first-timers featured on this project include Tems, Amaarae, Wani, Fasina, Buju and Nsikaka David. In usual practice, the entire project is produced by Spax.
The accompanying annual Palmwine Music Fest, which officially kicked off in 2017 is having its third leg on Saturday, December 28 at the Muri Okunlola Park.
Remember, “The Palmwine Express” is scheduled to drop this Friday, December 13 and it’s already available for pre-order/ pre-save here. Later today, Ghost and Tec (Show Dem Camp) and the team would stop by the PGM Radio Show to preview the project. Tune in to the Beat 99.9 FM by 10 pm.Post Views: 331

After months of teasing, pulling a Wizkid, making us literally beg for the single, and then suspending the initial release date, Paybac‘s ‘Boy Band‘ is finally here. This is the much-anticipated lead single off Paybac’s upcoming solo album, “Cult,” and also his first post-“Alternate Ending” release.
Paybac rapped his ass off on the joint album with Boogey -an album-of-the-year contender by the way- such that he is taking a break off that with ‘Boy Band’ and perhaps “Cult” as a whole. He confidently sings with his raspy voice in his ‘if Fela, the Beatles and Kanye had a baby’ style about his carefree life over soft percussions and organ keys. The song samples ‘Acid Rock‘ by the 70s Afro-Rock Band, The Funkees and is produced by LearnTheCreator.
Opening with the disclaimer “I no dey for gang, this na Boy Band,” the record finds Paybac a rebel, living the life of a rockstar. He might not have all the money in the world, but he makes the best use of what is at his disposal to live solely on his terms, not giving a hoot about anyone’s approval. He wants no troubles either.
The hook is an infectious one that’d have you humming, singing or even shouting along in no time. Enjoy ‘Cult‘ above.Post Views: 500
