Talented Mavin Records singer and songwriter, Johnny Drille, just released his first single from his forthcoming debut album out 2021. This comes shortly after Something Better which was released earlier this year.
Mystery girl is about an angelic beauty who remains elusive to the singer. He is bewitched by her dazzle and grace, the dark secrets her pretty face mask enchants him and he is quite intrigued by this woman. “ It is a representation of the expansion of my music into new spaces and hints at one of the many layers of my coming debut album which I am excited about and cannot wait to share with the world” the songbird disclosed. With Mystery Girl Johnny Drille hopes to journey listeners to a whole new realm of experiences, showcasing his range through lyrics and genre-bridging sounds.
The idyllic lyrics and soothing vocals is sure to lure its listeners to bliss. The production of this song is done by Grammy-nominated producer London. This serenade teases a refreshing side to Johnny Drille soon to be seen in his forthcoming album. This is one song you’re definitely going to have on repeat.

Paybac Iboro Recruits All-Star Cast For ‘Activ8’ Remix
When people talk about how much they love Paybac Iboro’s sophomore album ‘Cult!’, one song that keeps coming up as a favourite is the second lead single off the project, ‘Activ8’. Opening with raw but gripping keys, head-bumping kicks and a faded but stifling baseline the rap finds Paybac in his element, delivering stream-of-consciousness verses about how he keeps pushing against all odds in this country. On the striking and highly infectious hook, Paybac raps, ‘Activ8, activ8, activ8, young Samuel Oparaji, I’m balling till I pass away. Legends only die on a Saturday, get the plug if you want activate‘.
He also dropped the beat for free online, inspiring scads of freestyle verses from some of the brightest rappers in Nigeria, known and unknown. But for the remix of such a standout single, Paybac seeks the big dawgs, the tested and trusted wordsmiths revered all over for their sharp pen. He brings along Ghost of SDC, Vector the Viper and Boogey, his friend and frequent collaborator who all came through with jawdropping and thoughtful bars on the record.
Listen to this record above and let us know who you think has the best verse.
