Zamir’s New Single Is Just A Few Days Away

Just a few months after a fiery team-up with Ycee on ‘Anti‘, Zamir is set to release his third single of the year, ‘Mind‘ on Friday, November 1. For this new record, he would be joining forces with PsychoYP, whom many regards as the king of trap in these parts.

This new single will also be produced by Tochi Bedford, who was the beatsmith on the boards for the ominous and hard-hitting ‘Anti‘. Trust us to serve you hot once it’s released.

Zamir Is Blunt And Vicious On ‘Anti’ With Ycee

Zamir has teamed up with Ycee for his new single titled ‘Anti‘. This is Zamir’s first release since his year-opening Kida Kudz-assisted jam, ‘Jan 1st‘.

The new Tochi Bedford-produced single is no doubt one of the hardest hip-hop records out of Nigeria at the moment. It has this dark and intense feel to it with trippy keys and hard-hitting kicks.  Zamir sets the record straight that he’s anti-social and just wants his space and circle as tight as it can get. “I don’t like people, yeah I know” he declares as he opens the record.

In his verse, Zamir also recounts his musical journey and his emergence in the music industry. Ycee’s verse finds the ANBT Ceo delivering one of his best feature performances this year with a polished flow and airtight delivery.

Directed by Ademola Falomo, the video finds the wild and free pair chilling in the neighbourhood amidst bike and car stunts.

BOJ Enlists Falz, YCee & Fresh L For ‘Awolowo’ Naija Remix

Ever since ‘Awolowo‘ dropped a few weeks ago, it has been one of the hottest releases in 2019, steady dominating the airwaves and generating frenzy both on and offline. For the record, the acclaimed hook-killer, BOJ recruited a Ghanian all-star rap team of Kewsi Arthur, Darkovibes & Joey B who delivered such impressive performances that still has fans debating who had the best verse yet.

Well, BOJ has finally yielded to the call for a Naija version of the Alte-meets-hip-hop record. Fielding some of the biggest names in the Niaja rap scene, BOJ enlists a team of Falz, Ycee and Fresh L for the ‘Awolowo‘ Naija Remix. And as you know, Naija no dey carry last. The rappers came through with remarkable verses and polished flows that breathes a new life to the dazzling production from GMK. This ‘Awolowo‘ remix also features additional vocals from Zamir and Joey B.

Listen and let us know which version you prefer.

BOJ Links Up With Ghana’s Finest On ‘Awolowo’ With Joey B, Kwesi Arthur & Drako Vibes

One of Nigeria’s finest hook killers, BOJ, has teamed up with an all-star cast of young, talented and vibrant acts across Nigeria and Ghana to produce his latest offering titled ‘Awolowo‘. This new single is named after late Chief Obafemi Awolowo, one of Nigeria’s most iconic politicians credited with introducing free primary education and health care in the Western region of the country.

Produced by the acclaimed ‘alte playmaker’, GMK, BOJ recruits a team of Ghana’s finest acts Kwesi Arthur, Darko Vibes and Joey B who did not fail to bring an international flavour to the scintillating jam. The song also features additional vocals by Zamir and guitar by friend-of-the-family, Tomi Thomas.

Awolowo‘ is BOJ’s first release since he paired up with the self-acclaimed ‘sugar mummy’, Teni the Entertainer on ‘Obe‘ in January. One of the first things that would catch you about this record is how the faces of this young acts-pushing the limits of their crafts in their respective countries- replace the face of Nigeria’s revered politician, Awolowo, on the 100 Naira note issued by the “Alte Bank Of Africa“. However, he is not totally out of the picture as his face can be seen beside Ghana’s most respected political figure, Kwame Nkrumah at the top left corner of the cover art.

The song itself even does much more justice to the memory of the legend as BOJ is on full alchemist mode as he delivers a chilled golden hook with his gruff voice over the simplistic but dazzling GMK-production. Kwesi Arthur, Joey B and Darko Vibes also did not disappoint as they deliver their impressive 16s in English, pidgin and their native languages’.

This is no doubt a jam that is going to last a while on your playlist. Enjoy

Interlude 3 – Wavy the Creator x Zamir

Since H.I.G.H, Wavy the Creator has put out a series of interludes – projects that are softer and more intimate than her usual art.

The singer’s mates single and third interlude, aptly named Interlude 3 produced by Genio Bambino features rapper Zamir.

Wavy recently released the official video for this interlude via her VERY RARE VIBES channel on YouTube. The video was directed by camera-bender TSE and SAN V.

An impressive thing about this video (and Wavy’s general visual expression) is how clearly you can see that she is the centerpiece of the art. TSE’s command of colour is seen in the video but you can easily see how heavily Wavy herself is inspiration for the video.

Watch Interlude 3 here.

Listen To Wavy’s ‘Interlude 3’

We’ve been schooled to expect WavyTheCreator’s soothing sound; even though you’re never truly prepared for it, but have we ever heard a calm Zamir?

On Wavy’s latest Interlude 3 produced by the doctor Genio Bambino, the rapper’s vocals are almost husky as the pair weave a sexy interaction.

This Zamir & Kida Kudz Link Up Is Dangerous

We won’t be forgetting how dangerous Zamir is anytime soon. Since the release of the visuals for his track Hate (featuring Esojay Luciano), Zamir has not hesitated to remind us how hard he goes.

The rapper teams up with UK-based Kida Kudz on his latest Dangerous. The DOZ-produced joint (mixed and mastered by GMK) is another reminder of why nobody messes with Zamir and we love it.

Zamir Is Out With FAST

After his Hate video, Zamir is out with his first single of 2018 FAST.

The rapper is definitely living his best Hip-Hop life with this Hvrry-produced joint and through all the pressure, King Zamir is not about to buckle under any kind of pressure. Zamir talks about all the hard work he’s put into his craft so far and how much more fire he’s bringing to the game.

A rare. Debut – Odunsi’s First Album

Pulling off a debut project that will make history books is hard. Making music that is inter-generational is even harder, but Odunsi has done it. The singer’s debut album premiered on the PGM Live radio show last Wednesday, an amazing private listening party on Thursday and the official public release on all platforms finally came through on Friday.

rare. is Odunsi’s first debut and it’s taken this vanguard two years to come through with this project. While some fans were mad that it’s taken their fave so long to put out a compilation, one listen to this superstar quality debut and you’ll understand why. The project samples the Funk/Disco sounds of the 70s/80s and some spins on 90s Hip-Hop and this has to be the best spin on the sounds produced this year and with such a superb blend of sound, you can’t really hate Odunsi’s music. With rare. we see Odunsi take sole charge of his brand aesthetic, adding to the redefinition of what it is to be an African artist in this age.
