Tome Is All About That Positive Energy In ‘I Pray’ With Sean Kingston

Just a few months after releasing her well-received sophomore album “Bigger Than Four Walls”, Nigerian-Canadian singer Tome is back already with a new single titled ‘I Pray’. This record, however, comes in a pack of three including the official lead single featuring popular Jamaican act, Sean Kingston; the extended version which solely features Tome; and the French version titled ‘Je Prie’.

This record finds Tome taking us all to Jamaica as she lays her top-notch pen game and stunning vocals over reggae instrumental. This further proves the point that she can’t be constrained to a particular genre as exemplified in her latest project “Bt4w” which saw her working with several palettes of sounds over 10 tracks.

As she sings, she reminds everyone that she’s intolerant of negative energy. “No fighting, no cousin, no war/ just love and affection for all/ When you come around lift my spirits off or you can take a bow,” she points out. Sean Kingston on his part looks up to the heavens as he cries, “watch your blessings fall down on me, prayer goes to you.”

In this episode of The PGM Radio Show, we had an amazing Recording artist; Tome on IG Live.

Tome, who has shared the stage with heavyweights like Burna, Wizkid and Mr. Eazi, is a Nigerian-French Canadian singer and songwriter, born and raised in Montreal, Canada.

We sat down to talk about music, politics, and some societal issues. We also spoke about the protests happening all over the world in solidarity with the #BlackLivesMatter movement.

Tome, who recently released a body of work titled ‘Bigger than four walls’ (BT4W) featuring Runtown, Zlatan, King Promise, and Wavy The Creator also shared some insights on her musical journey so far.

We also listened to new music from a bunch of talented acts such as Omahlay, DJ Spinall.

From all of us at The PGM Club, we continue to admonish you to stay indoors, wear your face marks if you absolutely need to go out and wash and sanitize your hands.

Stay safe.

TÖME Brings Along Wavy The Creator, King Promise, Zlatan & Runtown On ‘BT4W’

For the past few weeks, Canadian-based Nigerian singer, TÖME has been giving us several tastes of the material she’s been working on for a while now. Each week came with its own teaser single, all building up to the big release; a new album.

She had spent the bulk of 2019 touring Europe with Afrobeats globetrotting star, Mr Eazi. That same year, TÖME also opened for Burna Boy on his sold-out Wembley show. Well, it’s been almost a year since her debut album, “TÖMESROOM Chapter 1” and she’s following this up with a fitting sophomore, “Bigger Than Four Walls”.

This sonically ambitious LP contains just 10-tracks with an all-star cast of some of Africa’s finest acts. The guest list cuts across generations as it includes afrobeats stapel, Runtown, Zlatan, Ghana’s King Promise as well as alte luminary, Wavy The Creator. One interesting thing about this album is how TÖME explores different sounds and genres across the project, which plays as a testament to her artistic range and palette.

This album comes highly recommended from us at the PGM Club. Enjoy above and tell us what you think.
