TÖME Brings Along Wavy The Creator, King Promise, Zlatan & Runtown On ‘BT4W’

For the past few weeks, Canadian-based Nigerian singer, TÖME has been giving us several tastes of the material she’s been working on for a while now. Each week came with its own teaser single, all building up to the big release; a new album.

She had spent the bulk of 2019 touring Europe with Afrobeats globetrotting star, Mr Eazi. That same year, TÖME also opened for Burna Boy on his sold-out Wembley show. Well, it’s been almost a year since her debut album, “TÖMESROOM Chapter 1” and she’s following this up with a fitting sophomore, “Bigger Than Four Walls”.

This sonically ambitious LP contains just 10-tracks with an all-star cast of some of Africa’s finest acts. The guest list cuts across generations as it includes afrobeats stapel, Runtown, Zlatan, Ghana’s King Promise as well as alte luminary, Wavy The Creator. One interesting thing about this album is how TÖME explores different sounds and genres across the project, which plays as a testament to her artistic range and palette.

This album comes highly recommended from us at the PGM Club. Enjoy above and tell us what you think.

Linksters – La Même Gang

Another wing of the New Age movement; La Même Gang is a creative collective from Ghana doing their part to redefine what it means to create music in 21st Century Africa.

The collective is a group of six creatives: Darkovibes, Kiddblack, Nxwrth, RJZ, $pacely and Kwaku BS; all individually full of epic talent. They released their debut mixtape La Même Tape in 2017. The ten-track chart-topper solidified the strong organic following they’d already garnered.

La Même Gang has just released their second project Linksters. The compilation is an effortless blend of genres from Hip-Hop to Trap to Afro-Pop. Stone Island, the lead single gave their audience an insight into the bond they share as friends.

Linksters has production from Nova, Kuvie, Zodiac, Killmatic, Eargasm and of course Nxwrth—who is leading Ghana’s burgeoning Trap scene at the moment. The album also features more great talent from Sarkodie, King Promise, Medikal, Kobla Jnr, Pappy Kojo, Odartie and Nigeria’s Odunsi the Engine.
Linksters shows off the growth and versatility of each individual member of La Même Gang and is a delightful listen for both old and new fans.
