Listen To Show Dem Camp’s New Album, “The Palmwine Express”

Palmwine season here again! Iconic Nigerian hip-hop duo, Show Dem Camp has released the third instalment in the Palmwine Music series “The Palmwine Express”, earlier today, December 13. This project comes just about 12 months after their year-opening tape, “These Buhari Times,” a pristine hip-hop full-length which many swear is the best Nigerian rap project of 2019. This project was premiered on the PGM Radio Show With Douglas Jekan on Wednesday, December 11.

Show Dem Camp kicked off the Palmwine Music series in 2017 with a 6-track EP that featured appearances from Odunsi (The Engine), BOJ, Funbi, Ladipoe and Ajebutter 22. Following the success of that tape, they also launched their annual Palmwine Music Festival that same year. In 2018, the duo released the second instalment of the series, a 10-track project this time, with an expansive guest list that includes Nonso Amadi, Moelogo, Tomi Agape, Worlasi, Flash, Burna Boy, and Falana. Frequent collaborators, BOJ, Ajebutter 22 and Ladipoe also reappeared on “Palmwine Music 2.”

On this highly collaborative, Spax-produced 12-track album, Show Dem Camp brings along a host of friends, frequent collaborators and other super gifted acts. Across the album, you’d be hearing the familiar vocal contributions of Funbi, Nonso Amadi, Boj, Moelogo and Tomi Thomas who had all appeared either on Palmwine Music 1 or 2. The Palmwine Music first-timers featured on this project include Tems, Amaarae, Wani, Fasina, Buju and Nsikaka David.

The accompanying Palmwine Music Fest is scheduled to hold on Saturday, December 28 at the Muri Okunlola Park.

Listen To Remy Baggins’ New Sextape “HENTAI”

Remy Baggins has released his fourth official project, the rated-18 tape titled “HENTAI“. This is Remy’s first body of work since his 2018 joint “YLLW” EP with Eri Ife.

“HENTAI” is a 9-track “sextape” in which Remy appears solo on all but three tracks. On the third track, ‘Secrets’ he recruits the efforts of Ladipoe and frequent collaborator, Dami Oniru. He also teams up with soul sensation, Funbi on ‘Tensions’, and joins forces with Tomi Thomas on ‘Vibrate’, the eighth track of the tape.

As expected, all the songs are self-produced and engineered. Remy however, enlists the efforts of other instrumentalists like Efe Jazz, Sir Bastien and Saxofix who help to provide an additional live feel to the already erotic project.

Despite appearing officially as a featured guest on only one track, Dami Oniru makes other significant contributions to the tape by co-writing and offering additional vocals.

According to Remy Baggins, “Hentai” a short form of the Japanese phrase, hentai seiyoku which directly translates to sexual pervasion.

You Can Now Sing Along To Funbi’s ‘Show Your Colour’

This writer is so happy to see artists taking lyrics more seriously because it can pain when you hear a fire track and you can’t find anything on the lyrics.

BarelyAnyHook gave a self-shot video diary type lyric video for the fan favourite Waves Freestylethe official video for Odunsi’s falling has the lyrics going along with the audio 80’s karaoke style and the artist recently released a lyric video for his song with Runtown star signs and now, we can sing along to Funbi’s Show Your Colour.

Ahead of the release of his debut EP, Funbi released a trailer for the Serenade EP (the anticipation almost killed this writer),  and shortly after, the singer released his amazing debut and continuing the trail, Funbi has released the lyric video to Show Your Colour. The 88 Factor production stars the beautiful Amiola.

Enjoy the music and learn the lyrics.

Funbi’s Debut EP Is The Mood For Catching Feelings

R&B singer/songwriter Funbi is out with his debut EP Serenade. Prior to the release of the EP, the singer came out with a trailer to build enough anticipation for the project. It’s a double celebration for the artist as his debut EP hits streaming platforms on his birthday today.

The singer released a single Turn Me Around early this year with Poe, was featured on Palmwine Music 2 and rejoined his friends on The Collectiv3 to give more amazing music with Live. CreateRepeat. Serenade is a delightful mixture of Folk, Alternative and Funk music and is the perfect playlist for catching feelings. The 6-track project features Seyi Shay (Body) and Efya (Ride With You).

This EP is a literal serenade and is what this writer will be listening to the next time feelings are thrown.

Live. Create. Repeat. – That New Collectiv3

The Collectiv3 has come back from their three-year hiatus with a sophomore album – Live. Create. Repeat. The group (comprising Hip-Hop duo Show Dem Camp, rapper POE, producers IKON, Kid Konnect and Nsikak (also an amazing guitarist) and singers Temi Dollface and Funbi) first hit the wave with the compilation project self-titled The Collectiv3 LP back in 2015.

This sophomore album features all original members of The Collectiv3 with the addition of sound from new members Tomi Thomas, Mokeyanju, Tems, Blinky Bill and Preye Itams. The album is partly produced by IKON and it was released on the 12th as part of the rollout of projects from SDC and their affiliates. The album which premiered on the PGM Live radio show last week is another amazing gift from the Nigerian Music gods for 2018 and The PGM Club is sure that you should partake of this blessing.
