Listening To Bigfoot & Femi Leye’s ‘Fireflies’ Is The Best Form Of Self Care

Femi Leye is the latest in the long list of artists to work with Bigfootinyourface this year, particularly on his Downtempo Friday series. On the eighth instalment of the highly collaborative weekly series, both acts join forces to create a brilliant work of art titled ‘Fireflies‘.

Femi Leye, a popular multi-talented guitarist who has toured several continents including North America and Europe with the 79th Element bad which he co-founded with Adekunle Gold has also worked with the creme de la creme of the industry including Burna Boy, Brymo, Don Jazzy and Tiwa Savage.

On this record, Femi Leye’s skill as a guitar mastreo is on full display as he delievers a masterful lengthy but piercing solo over the background sound of a burning fireplace. This is a song best enjoyed lying faced up while staring at the clouds with your earphones plugged in at the loudest volume. Thank me later.

Definitely a record for the soul. Enjoy

Tiwa Savage Pens Record Deal With Universal Music Group

Tiwa is undoubtedly the most hardworking and talented female artist crossing over from Africa to the rest of the world, and UMG has demonstrated its commitment to the continent by placing its formidable machinery behind her amazing career. Partnerships like these symbolize the hopes and dreams of so many talented artists back home in Africa and it is an honor to be the executive producers of her project.

Present at the singing, Adam Granite, Executive Vice President, Market Development at Universal Worldwide expressed that “We are looking forward to partnering with Tiwa and her team to help her music reach new audiences around the world. Tiwa Savage former label-boss and colleague,  Don Jazzy has taken to his Instagram to officially confirm her departure and appreciate her spell at his label, Mavin Records.

Our darling Tiwatope. We at Mavin would like to say a very big thank you for being such an inspiration to all of us, a friend, a sister. It’s been an epic journey with you and we are very proud of what we have achieved together.

As you start this new chapter in your life we want you to know that we are solidly behind you and can’t wait for the world to see what we have always believed you can be.

Your jersey as the First Lady of Mavin will forever be yours as we do not intend to fill that position with anyone else.We love you from the bottom of heart and pray GOD’s blessings continue to follow you. Amennnn.” He posted alongside an appreciative picture on Instagram.

Tiwa Savage also commented on the post, appreciating his unflinching support and understanding.

When I got pregnant I was nervous to tell you so I decided to tell you at the airport when we were traveling for a show. I figured you couldn’t really say much in a public place 🤣🙈 but then you told me you already knew and had already been thinking of a plan to keep my brand going while I took some time out.

I was shocked because you weren’t phased by the news, you had already started making plans. I recorded the RED album while I was heavy and I would fall asleep during sessions and you and the whole team would crash in the studio right there with me till I woke up again and was ready to finish recording. There was nothing you would hear about me that ever made you mad, no outfit was too crazy, no headline was too controversial for you to handle no crazy outburst no nothing.

If I said today wasn’t emotional for me I would be LYING. Please promise me that our relationship will never change. I only want to make you proud of me. Not every super hero has an S on their chest. You are my superhero DON DORO BUCCI. 7 years, 7 the number of perfection. I LOVE YOU ALWAYS AND FOREVER. Mavin 4life #DiaFada 💪🏽🙏🏼❤️” She wrote.

Congratulations Tiwa Savage.

IYANYA SIGNS TO MAVIN RECORDS

The singer, who parted ways with his record label, Triple MG and his long-term partner and manager of 6 years, Ubi Franklin a few months back is the newest signee to the Mavin Family.

— DON JAZZY (@DONJAZZY) October 31, 2016
