Myoa Releases Debut Album “Beautiful Journey”

Houston-based Nigerian singer, Myoa has released her debut album titled “Beautiful Journey“. This is a 12-track LP in which the eclectic singer showcases her distinct sound characterised by a fusion of soul, pop and jazz, laced with African influences.

This album has been in the works for a while now as she describes the project as “a collection of songs written over many years that expressing my journey in life…“. With “Beautiful Journey,” she seeks to share a piece of her heart with her listeners thereby giving them a “euphoric experience.”

In life, there are ups and downs, but each moment is part of your journey and you can choose to look at it in a beautiful way and see beauty through the ashes and enjoy the simple and little things in life.” She says.

Led by ‘You‘ and ‘Star Power‘, this is a very personal project as it features the sweet singing-Johnny Drille as the only guest throughout its 12 tracks. Production-wise, however, Myoa seeks assistance from BigFootInYourFace, Cobhams Asuquo, Eddie Ferguson, Johnny Drille and Robert Eibach who helped co-produce the solo LP.

BarelyAnyHook And Bigfoot Release Joint EP “Barely Big Enough”

Bigfootinyourface has had a very busy year. Despite juggling his music with his day job, the multi-talented producer has been steady with his releases all year long. Earlier this year, he teamed up with KEL on her first project in 10 years, “Vita.Amare.Libidine“, and executive produced Pasha‘s sophomore EP, “Love Sex Loud.” He also took upon a ten-week long series tagged the “Downtempo Friday” series in which he teamed up with several gifted acts across a string of weekly releases.

And now, he has joined forces with one of the most talented acts rising through the ranks, BarelyAnyHook, to release a new EP titled “Barely Big Enough.” This project is a brief affair containing just four tracks all performed by BarelyAnyHook while Bigfoot handles the entire production and engineering of the project. Across the project, the pair explore several genres including High-life/hip-hop, salsa noir, blues bounce and what they describe as Fela n’ B.

Last week, the PGM Radio Show hosted a listening session for the EP, where the pair took us through the creative process behind the production of the project. Interestingly, they revealed that the four songs were all produced in just one night.

They also disclosed that the tracklisting of the EP isn’t set in stone, suggesting that listeners should try to shuffle up the project as every variant listening order brings along a distinct feeling.

The PGM Club highly recommends this project. Enjoy.

Illbliss Is Raw & Relentless On New Joint ‘Nkali’ With Bigfootinyourface

Illbliss is showing no signs of slowing down. The hip-hop veteran released a critically acclaimed EP titled “Illyzilla” earlier this year, a joint project he released with prolific hip-hop producer, Teckzilla. And now, he is teaming up with Bigfootinyourface who has also had a very busy year to release a new record titled ‘Nkali‘. It would be remembered that this is Illbliss’s second record that is actually titled ‘Nkali‘ as the opening track off his 2016 “Illygaty:7057” album, featuring the living legend, DJ Jimmy Jatt also has the same title.

This new record is the first single of the coming joint EP by Illbliss and Bigfootinyourface which is expected to be released soon.

Nkali‘ which directly translates to ‘superiority’ finds Illy in boss-mode again as he flexes lyrically switching flows between English and Igbo, his native tongue. He brags about his artistic and general successes showing why he is a respected OG in the game who still has it very much in him over the dazzling Bigfoot production with scintillating riffs from the Oja flute.

Bigfootinyourface Teams Up With Akym Aremu On New Melancholic Single ‘The Journey’

2019 has been a really busy year for Bigfootinyourface. The year which has seen just four months has seen the multi-talented producer release a joint EP “Vita.Amare.Libidine” with Kel as well as executive produce Pasha‘s “Love, Sex & Loud“. He has also released a string of singles working with acts like Monseeka, Jemal, Maka ,IllBliss and others. In fact, it is safe to say that Bigfoot is living up to his name because he has been all up in our faces with quality releases all year long. And let’s not forget that he was one of the DJs at our our This Is Hip-Hop event which held earlier this month at The Harvest.

And now, in the spirit of his Downtempo Fridays, Bigfoot has released the seventh installment of the weekly series titled ‘The Journey‘ featuring Akym Aremu. This comes after the raving ‘Nkali‘ with the hip-hop veteran, IllBliss.

With a run time of about three minutes, record opens with a piercing guitar riff which precedes Akym Aremu’s melancholic but though provoking verse which details some of the struggles and harsh realities of many Nigerians as he rhetorically asks in Yoruba where we are all headed.

We at the PGM Club highly recommend this record. Enjoy.
