Asa Releases Her First Album In Five Years, “Lucid”

Ace Nigerian soul singer, Asa has released her long-awaited fourth studio, “Lucid.” This comes five years after her last album “Bed Of Stone” which houses highlights like ‘Eyo‘, ‘How Did Love Find Me‘, and ‘Satan Be Gone’.

The album described as Afro-pop on Apple Music is a 14-track project and is -in usual fashion- an entirely solo effort. In May, Asa released the first single off the album titled ‘The Beginning‘ and this was followed by ‘Good Thing‘ whose video was unveiled late last month.

Asa Is Ready To Move On In New Single ‘Good Thing’

Barely a month after the release of her first single in five years, Asa is back with yet another release. Earlier today (June 25), the highly celebrated alternative singer took to her Twitter to announce the release of the second single off her soon-to-be-released album, titled ‘Good Thing‘.

Good Thing‘ is a soothing alternative pop record that is rich in instrumentation. On the record, Asa is overflowing with confidence as she points to her ex the error of his ways. As they part away, she lets him know that he would not be missed as she is very ready to move on.

Although we have no idea if the song is rooted in personal experience, be it fiction or not, someone in the severed relationship lost something good. And it’s definitely not Asa. Enjoy.

Asa Releases Her First Song In Five Years ‘The Beginning’

Asa is back! The super gifted Nigerian-French singer has shared her first single since the release of her 2014 album “Bed Of Stone.” This new record is titled ‘The Beginning‘ and it comes just a few days after teasing the song on Instagram.

This single officially marks the beginning of her new album release cycle as she refers to it as on Twitter as the “opening track“.

Over soft keys, scintillating strings and later drums, Asa croons about her recent breakup and the emotional turbulence that follows. She is not fully ready to let go and wishes they can start all over again.
