Effyzzie Music Group, home to Africa’s championing diva Yemi Alade and afro-pop act Geniuzz is proud to announce the addition of her new signee “Soti”, who was reportedly scouted by Yemi Alade.
Soti experienced a turn around in her music career when she met Yemi Alade in Abuja and shortly after, she signed a recording and management deal with Effyzzie Music Group/Rebel Movement.
She is set to release her official debut single titled “Feel You” which is already available for pre-order on iTunes.
Soti (real names: Sotonye Jane Willie-Pepple) born on the 1st of November 1991 is a Nigerian afro-R&B/pop singer and songwriter, influenced by the artistry of Michael Jackson, Sade, Fela Anikulapo Kuti and Brandy.
Soti’s earlier works include a collaboration with producer P2J and Ice Prince Zamani on her single titled “Boy”. She also had a guest vocal appearance on Naeto C’s “Superman” and Ikechukwu’s “Killz”. The singer was once a member of a U.K band, The Lizards.Post Views: 518

For many, “Alternate Ending” was the portal through which we discovered Majesty Lyn. On ‘Memories’ off the 2019 Boogey and Paybac joint tape, she came through with a scene-stealing feature, hopping seamlessly on the bouncy beat with a bullish and airtight delivery. Some others got a glimpse of her amazing talent on the “Sound From The Basement Gig Vol.1” album released later in the year. Standing alone on the seventh track, ‘Nobody’, her enchanting voice was on full display, crooning about the sneaky movements of an erring lover.
But that thrilling excitement that comes with the discovery of a new act began to fade off when much wasn’t heard from her after that. Not until yesterday.
In celebration of 420, Lyn released her debut and introductory four-track EP, “Four Twenty.” All produced by Horsh, the tape showcases the different shades of her artistry, not just her prowess as a rapper. In fact, she leans more to her singing side, making her rap persona play second fiddle, only coming to bear on the braggadocio cut, ‘You Bitches Can Cope’.
The highlight of this EP, however, is ‘Say So’, a smooth and melodious Afropop record blessed with an infectious sing-along hook. Musing over her love interest, Lyn sounds inspired and full of life, ready to penetrate the market with this hybrid jam, fitting for sultry playlists and the dancefloors.
Across the tape, Lyn radiates such confidence and enthusiasm of an artist so certain of her gifts and is just waiting on the world to catch on to it. “Four Twenty The EP” therefore comes highly recommended fromThe PGM Club. Give it a spin and let us know what you think.Post Views: 633

Popular Nigerian singer, Simi has parted ways with her record label, X3M music after five years. This comes just after a few days after the successful release of her critically acclaimed third studio album, “Omo Charlie Champagne” which is still topping charts all over the country.
Simi’s exit from the label is reported to be as a result of the expiration of her recording contract.
Unlike most label-artist splits in the Nigerian music industry, this is a very peaceful and amicable departure, as both parties decided not to renew the expired contract, according to Vincent Nwanze, the A&R executive of the label.
Over the course of her time at the label, Simi grew from a burgeoning alternative sensation into one of the biggest acts in the country. Ever since singing with X3Min 2014, Simi has scored a number of hits and also released two acclaimed albums including the culturally and commercially successful self-titled album “Simisola” which bagged the album of the year award at the 2018 Headies.
According to X3M’s management, “We only sign artists that we love and believe in. We know our taste in music is rather different, but we only sign talents who meet that taste. Fortunately, we have been able to find millions of music lovers here and abroad, who share similar tastes, as is evident in the success of all the artistes we have worked with, including Simi who is without any doubt one of the biggest music talents in the country today…”
Although Simi is yet to confirm the news on her social media pages, we at the PGM Club wish her all the best in her future endeavours.Post Views: 415
