With new artistes popping up on our radar every day, we are determined to bring only good music to your ears. For our latest discovery, we found Straffitti, a Lagos-based rapper, singer, producer and all-around creative. Like many new artistes stepping into the spotlight, Straffitti produces his music. With over four projects to his name, Straffitti is building his career, step by step with a vision as clear as crystal. On his latest project, “Spaghetti,” Straffitti showcases his versatility and range as a multidimensional creative.
Straffitti
The 9-track EP starts with “500 Degrees,” a track that was released earlier this year. On this one, Straffitti raps about his relentless efforts towards his journey to success as he sings “I don’t want to take no breaks, I don’t want to ride no waves.” On “PLT Intro” and “All For Me,” the rapper reminisces on his struggle days and how people want to be around him now that he’s making money. “Geeked Up/Pain Away” talks about money’s inability to change who he is and take his pain away.
Straffitti shifts focus a bit on “Late Night” and “D Wet” as he raps about the good life trio – sex, alcohol, and partying. Other songs on the project include “Swollen,” “Not Enough” and “Brotherman.” The project is solely produced by Straffitti himself, including mixing and mastering. Each track on this project offers something different for listeners and we recommend plugging into “Spaghetti” as a starting point to his stacked discography. Listen to the project here and enjoy.
