Reggae Dancehall artist, Shatta Wale opens the year with his new song and it’s visual “1 Don.” The new single follows Shatta Wale’s late 2020 releases like “Hajia Bintu” featuring Ara B & Captan and “Borjor”. He also made it on Barack Obama‘s summer 2020 playlist for that same song. “Already” on Beyonce’s lion king : The gift , was perhaps his biggest project of 2020.
The video opens with Shatta wale in bed with two women. He gets up and the camera follows him round the compound before getting to an entourage singing . The song was produced by The Beatz vampire. The video shot at Maaha Beach Resort and directed by PKMI. The video has already amassed over 200k views on YouTube. Click here to see it.

Artiste, Songwriter and Vocal Producer, Moelogo has released a new E.P titled ‘Myself’ which succeeds his Previous work ‘Me’ released June 26,2020. This is the second of a three part series. The artwork is a puzzle board of the artiste demonstrating music as the little pieces he uses to fill his soul which shows how meaningful music is to him. The six songs on this EP are; ‘Mumidanu’, ‘You’, ‘Selflove’, ‘Emotions’, ‘Logo’s Prayer’ and ‘Fate’. The EP is a mix of Afrobeat and RnB.
‘Mumidanu’ is a love song instructing his lover to hold him tight through his darkest days. The second song ‘You’ questions the audacity of his detractors to constantly wag their tongues about him. In ‘self love’, Love is directed inwards as love cannot be given to another from an empty source. ‘Emotions’ reveals the artist’s battle with his lover playing with his heart. He is distraught and dissatisfied with his lover’s games and eventual departure despite giving all of himself. Moelogo prays, grateful to God in the next song ‘Logo’s Prayer’ rendered in his native Yoruba language and ends the EP still thankful to God for overcoming trials in ‘Fate’.

The acclaimed queen of Afro-House Niniola has released her sophomore album “Colours & Sounds” across all major streaming platforms in the early hours of today. This comes three years after her stunning debut album “This Is Me” which contained monster hit, ‘Maradona’ as well as ‘Saro’, ‘Sicker’ and more. This new project is led by singles like ‘Omo Rapala’, the Femi Kuti-assisted ‘Fantasy’ a well as the infectious ‘Addicted’ which has recorded much traction on the airwaves.
“Colours & Sounds” finds Niniola exploring a wide palette of sounds across 15 tracks while still serving her fans a heavy dose of Afro-House which made them fall in love with her in the first. It’s obvious she has much more than just the Nigerian audience in mind in the conceptualization and execution of this project. And this is well exemplified in the guestlist which features contributions from Kenyan band Sauti Sol, South Africa’s songstress Busiswa, British act Afro B as well as Timbaland, a renowned American producer, DJ and rapper. Just weeks after crowning himself the “King Right Now,” Eclipse Nkasi has finally released his long-overdue debut album titled “Child Of Destiny.”
This new album contains 13 tracks and features appearances from Giniz, Pepenazi, Salmin Swaggz, Cheqwas and Clay. The project is also self-produced save for three tracks produced by Damie, Townsville and Talking Fingers.
After a self-imposed hiatus, Eclipse came back in 2018 with a double release which reminded everyone of his amazing talent. He immediately followed it up with three solid records in 2019, ‘Heaven’, ‘Pro Bono’ and the grateful number, ‘Thank God I’m Alive Sha’. And now with this new album, Eclipse reminds everyone that he is one of the best rappers to grace the mic from these parts. It’s never too late to take hold of your destiny.
The rapper is also hosting a listening session for the project on Saturday, February 8 at the Bogobiri House.
