Ria Sean delivers Uptown Girl off her Sophomore EP, Love Station

Fast ascending singer-songwriter Ria Sean, real name Gloria Asene Enebii delivers new single “Uptown Girl” off her second studio album called “Love Station” and is a sequel to her earlier FLUID EP. Fluid contains tracks like Money Bag, Satisfy My Soul, Pin Me Down, Minor Notes, Under Water, and Stamina.

On Uptown Girl, Ria Sean seamlessly deploys her signature fusion of Afropop and R&B, infusing West African rhythms and elements of lo-fi with soulful poetry. She seductively sings of playing the part of an ‘uptown girl and downtown dirty baby.‘ With lyrics like ‘you need a thing like me, you need a thing like me, you need a fling like meeeeee, you need a sweet, light, chocolate puna, puna, wey go make you feel like buga, buga, wey go make you feel like the one she look at, look at, you need a thing like me yh…‘ she is ready to play any role needed to bring release even the part of a quick passionate fling. This is a sweet precursor of what is to come with her new EP. It should be an enjoyable genre-blending project with harmonious vocals. Ayra Starr is one of the features on the EP’s six songs.
