On June 25th, 2017, the sixth edition of PGM Live came with a ‘bang’! Showcasing (SDC) Show Dem Camp as our headliners, the show was lit from the get-go, but before we dive in, here’s a Lil reintroduction of the PGM Club and the PGM Live Show.
The Push Good Music Club (PGM Club) is an initiative that seeks to help unearth, nurture and promote emerging talents as well as support already established talents in Nigeria and Africa.
PGM Live is a live band session designed to encourage artists to perform with a live band as we firmly believe that true artistry lies within a live music experience. The PGM Live is therefore bespoke curated event, tailormade to suit the headline artists brand. Our goal is to paint a picture of what can become a strategy or platform that the artist can replicate and continue to grow their artistry.
Now we are here at the sixth edition of The PGM Live staring Show Dem Camp (SDC) with support from Boj, Funbi, Ajebutter, Tomi Thomas, Idris King, and other great acts. The show was the first live performance of SDC’s new project titled Palm wine Music Vol.1, an EP mixed with highlife and afrobeat.
The show which was themed around the project, Palm wine music had Palm trees and calabashes on stage and the traditional palm wine was also sold as a cocktail on the day. Our objective at PGM was to create a true palm wine experience that compliments the amazing project from SDC.
The event took place at Eve’s Restaurant and it brought together a great audience that mingled with the artists before they took the stage and yes, the energy in the room was epic!
It was a night to remember and we are almost certain that Palm Wine Music can grow into an actual festival. WHAT THIS SPACE!
Below is a one-minute video that gives you a slight hint of what took place on the night.
Stay tuned for the next PGM Live!
