One of Nigeria’s most gifted singers on the rise, Oxlade is finally set to release his debut EP titled “Oxygene.” This young singer who has been the toast of the town since ever since his rise to prominence last year is finally taking his game beyond killer features and sizzling singles to provide his teeming fans with a body of work. Oxlade isn’t there yet but it’s almost certain that he’s one of the heirs to the Afropop throne if there’s any.
Earlier today, the singer unveiled the album art and the tracklist for the EP alongside a message for his fans. “Hello World, after the many collaborations and sprinkles of singles, I am ready to put out my first project titled “Oxygene” named cause music is the air I breathe, S/O to my team @TroniqMusic. Now let me take you “Away” with the first single,” he shared on Twitter.

This new EP is set to be released next Friday, March 27 and as his debut and introductory release, it contains just six tracks. Interestingly, “Oxygene” is almost entirely an Oxlade affair as it features only one guest, Moelogo. Production-wise however, he flys on the wings of Echo, Lush, Nosa Apollo, Dera and Spax.
Spax who has successfully evaded the spotlight of the media for a while now also handles most of the engineering of the tape, while also teaming up with Godfrey O Eguakun to executive produce the EP.
Surprisingly, this project features no pre-released tracks as all six tracks are previously unheard sparkling new numbers. The project is, however, to be led by ‘Away’ which is now available across all streaming platforms. You can now pre-save the album on apple music above.
