Major Lazer has released the second video of their latest project Afrobeats Mix and this time they’re taking us to South Africa with a feature from Babes Wodumo, the self-proclaimed Gqom Queen.

“Orkant/Balance Pon It”, is a nice Afro EDM track that’s just right up Babes’ boulevard and that just makes perfect sense considering the fact that Gqom is South African EDM House music. The energy reminds you of Major Lazer’s 2013 hit Watch Out For This (Bumaye) featuring Busy Signal, The Flexican, and FS Green. The video has lots and lots of color and we can thank stylist Boogy for that. Everybody knows how rich South African dance culture is and how good South Africa is at the dance; choreographer Welile ‘Art Child’ Gumede is not letting us the chance to forget, spreading the fever from street dancers to school children. Truth is, you really can’t stay melancholy after watching this video or listening to the song.

This Major Lazer feature continues Babes Wodumo’s amazing music streak since the release of her single Wololo in 2016. She was on the Black Panther album with her song Redemption, Wololo was used as the Shuri’s lab background music in the movie and she bagged herself a 2017 BET Award nomination for Best International Act: Africa.
