Earlier this year, a duo of Paybac and Boogey, known as the Lost & Found released their sophomore album “Alternate Ending” to rave reviews. Many have even dubbed it the best Nigerian rap album of 2019 and they won’t be wrong. And now, just over a day after their Lyricist On The Roll nominations in the 2019 Headies for their electric verses on ‘Implode‘, the duo has unveiled the much-teased visuals for ‘Uwaka‘ with Danladi, one of the fan favourites off the album.
Directed by XYZ, the playful video finds Boogey and Paybac having the best of times as they deliver their verses. The video opens with Paybac sporting a white agbada and a hooded scarf, rapping amidst friends in a dimly lit room. The 4-minute video is interluded with a short skit from Pastor Paybac dishing his two cents on what being a yahoo boy entails. Boogey, on the other hand, delievers most of his bars from a lectern with a white backdrop.
Although Danlandi was a no-show, the hook finds the rappers and their friends vibing and flashing fives in several styles. Enjoy the video below and tell us what you think.Post Views: 361

A couple of weeks ago, Fireboy DML broke his 6-month long hiatus with his 2020 debut ‘New York City Girl’. And despite the initial excitement that came with the arrival of a new Firbeoy single, what came next was a wave of mixed reviews with many feeling it could have been more. And now, it appears Fireboy isn’t wasting any time to restore our confidence as he has released ‘Eli’, his second official single perceived to be leading the road to his coming project.
‘Eli’ is a sonically refreshing number that beautifully blends Afropop, dancehall elements and coated with Japanese sounds. And like most of Fireboy’s singles, this record finds him wailing about the effect a woman he calls Delilah has on him. He appears to be crazy in love and suddenly realises he’s no longer in control. In the infectious hook, he relentlessly calls out for help, “someone come save me from Delilah.”
One thing that has kept ears and eyes glued to Fireboy’s craft is how he makes such beautiful music taking the road less sonically travelled. He and Pheelz have forged a relationship that allows them to repeatedly push boundaries with each release and we’re absolutely here for it.
The YBNL star has been the toast of music listeners ever since his smash hit, ‘Jealous‘ came to mainstream consciousness early in 2019. The highly infectious record single-handedly catapulted him to nationwide recognition, acceptance and success. He has since been repeatedly referred to as one of the new guards taking over the Nigerian music industry. And with his critically acclaimed award-winning debut album “Laughter, Tears & Goosebumps”, Firbeoy proved we weren’t wrong all the while.

On ‘Play Remix’, Blaqbonez teams up with Ycee to deliver a refreshing rendition of his last album’s lead single. On the record, the rappers deliver new solid verses and smooth flows over the unchanged beat and chorus.
