Rema‘s story is one like no other. Ever since he got activated and unveiled by Mavin Records and Jonzing World in March 2019, the young lad has been a shooting star. His debut and introductory self-titled EP, “Rema” which housed smashes like ‘Dumebi‘ and ‘Corny‘ kicked off his rapid ascent to fame and mainstream success, and it has been a joyride from there. In less than a year, the singer has released three EP, won the coveted Headies Next Rated award, featured on the Obamas‘ summer playlist, and looks poised for even more international exploits.
Recently, the singer stopped by Colors Studios to perform the title track off his third EP, “Bad Commando.” Dressed in all black, Rema delivered a stunning rendition of the EP-opener over a hanging mic, gesticulating occasionally with his gloved hands.

Niniola is the queen of her sound. Ever since the explosive success of her 2017 single ‘Maradona’, she has steadily taken her Afro-House sound to new heights. This attained a new level of success when the record was sampled in Beyonce’s ‘Find Your Way Back’. This is one of the highlights off Beyonce’s much-celebrated 2019 “The Gift” album, packed with an African all-star cast.
Now, after sharing a stage with Grammy-nominated Afrobeat icon, Femi Kuti, the pair have gone further to record and release a new single titled ‘Fantasy’. This is a follow-up to her year-closing single ‘Omo Rapala’, whose video has amassed over 2 million views in just a month of its release.
These steady releases feel like they are building up to her sophomore album, which now feels overdue since the release of her hit-packed debut 2017 album, “This Is Me.”
The new single ‘Fantasy’ is produced by Kel P, and as expected is highly rich in his signature percussive sound. Niniola finds herself at home over the dazzling production as she croons about her fantasies coated in her usual sexual innuendos.
On the track, Femi Kuti serenades with his beloved instrument, the saxophone. He spices up the record, backing Niniola with thrilling riffs. He then lights everything up with a piercing sax solo that reminds us of the magic he did on Wizkid’s ‘Jaiye Jaiye’ over six years ago.
Update: Niniola has also released the Sesan-directed visuals for the record which features a cameo from the serial hitmaker who also produced this record, Kel-P.Post Views: 489

Rising Mavin Records star, Rema has finally unveiled the official video for ‘Dumebi‘. This is a standout cut off his 4-track self-titled debut EP “Rema“. A very catchy and danceable afro-pop record, ‘Dumebi‘ has been gaining much traction on the airwaves.
In the video directed by Ademola Falomo, Rema is on a road trip with his friends including Dumebi, his love interest. Sadly, his affection is unreturned as she seems to be so into her lover who – unfortunately for Rema – also happens to be on the trip. Slowly, he tries to get the attention of his crush but this is swiftly thwarted as her boyfriend comes calling.
Dumebi‘s visuals is the second video off the introductory “Rema” project and it was premiered earlier today on Fader. Enjoy the video above.Post Views: 511
