After a marginally successful year, punctuated with performances at Nigeria’s GidiFest and Ghana’s Chale Wote, Mo’Believe is kicking things off this year literally with a new energy. The young singer has shared the visuals for his new release ‘Energy 2020’ which sets the tone for this new year.
This comes after his 2019 releases, ‘Eyin Temi’, ‘Omo Ase’ and the remix of one of the standout cuts off his “Ariwo Eko” project, ‘Bi Oba’.
Produced by Audiomonkey, this new record is our first taste off his imminent EP, “Big Daddy Mo.”Across the song, Mo’Believe literally introduces us to the project itself and his Big Daddy Mo persona after whom the EP is titled.
A very short but sweet affair, Mo delivers his 2020 manifesto over a fast-paced beat spiced with African percussions. Like almost every other person, Mo started the year with dreams, prayers and aspirations and across this declarative track he speaks them into existence and urges you to do the same.
In the Izick-directed video, Mo switches personas, cutting across the different types of personalities we have in these parts. But one simple thing they all have in common is their infectious 2020 energy.
