We see CHx try something different in terms of production on this project; the simpler beats and movements are easy to appreciate and enjoy. Paybac isn’t hesitant to hurl fire on this project either, the storyteller comes uncensored for this compilation of emotion. The album keeps one oscillating between YOLO and a reminisce, and honestly it’s a mix you cannot help but enjoy. More talent comes from artist JazzZ, ODC, Djaji and Gigi.Post Views: 388

PsychoYP is finally treating us to a taste of his soon-to-be-released project, “YPSZN 2” with three singles all at once. Just last week, the rapper announced the release date and tracklist of the follow-up to his stellar tape, “YPSZN” which was released to good reviews and has even amassed over a million streams – an impressive feat for an artist on the rise. And with the release of the three new tracks off “YPSZN 2“; ‘City Of Kings‘, ‘Elevate‘ and ‘No Chaser‘, we have a feel of what to expect on the coming project.
‘City Of Kings‘ which happens to be the album opener is a worthy introduction to the project as it finds PsychoYP in his element, riding for his city over rolling hi-hats and hard-hitting kicks. The record is also littered with striking ad-libs reminiscent of Desiigner‘s 2015 monster hit, ‘Panda‘. On ‘Elevate‘ Afropop meets hip-hop as PsychoYP interpolates Olamide‘s ‘Motigbana‘, coming through with a relaxing melodic rap over a laid back instrumental.
But of the three releases, the Terri-assisted ‘No Chaser‘ takes the cake. This song enjoys a brilliant and catchy hook from Terri with PyschoYP stepping up with playful brags over the radio-friendly tune.
If these records are anything to go by, the sophomore curse has nothing on YP as the tape is already sounding like a worthy sequel. Remember, “YPSZN 2” drops on Monday, November 4.Post Views: 444

After her multiple nominations at the 2019 Headies including Song Of The Year, Teni is making good of her promise by treating us to her “Billionaire” EP. This is Teni’s debut project and it comes exactly a week after the lead single, ‘Billionaire‘, which is already gaining traction on the airwaves.
This EP is only 6-tracks long and features no guests despite her streak of killer team-ups in 2019. Also absent from the tape is any of her previously released singles. Even her smash hits, ‘Uyo Meyo‘ and ‘Askamaya‘ are notable exemptions and only means one thing: Teni isn’t resting on her oars as she seeks to provide a fresh listening experience for her fans, and we are absolutely here for that.Post Views: 220
