In the wake of her recent signing to Universal Music Africa, award-winning Ugandan singer, Irene Ntale has released her major debut, titled ‘Nyamba’.
Last week Wednesday, August 21, Universal Music Group Nigeria unveiled Irene Ntale as its latest signing, their first-ever act from Uganda. This is no doubt a move that sets the East African star on the path to continental dominance and global recognition, and she is wasting no time, kicking things right off with this release.
‘Nyamba’ is a sultry number that finds Irene Ntale openly declaring her affection to her love interest. Over the soothing and melodious record, there is a soulful realness in her delivery woven in English and Luganda her local dialect that cuts across her wide-ranging audience.
This record is also highly rich in instrumentation with a lopped strutting guitar riff that blends so smoothly with her sweet voice. A radio-friendly jam, this is no doubt a scintillating feel-good record that has overwhelming crossover potential.Post Views: 323

For the third release off his ongoing CTIII series, DAP The Contract teams up with Virginia rapper, Rozwell Fitzroy on the new record titled ‘Thank God I’m Not Famous Yet‘. The rapper kicked off the third instalment of his Contact Thursday series two weeks ago with ‘Prisimcolors‘, followed up by last week’s ‘Good Bad, Bad Good‘.
DAP the Contract was on the PGM Radio Show a couple of weeks ago to discuss the string of weekly Thursday releases while also giving us a peek into two tracks off the series – ‘Prismcolors’ and ‘Bryn’s Interlude‘. At the end of the show, he also kicked bars alongside other razor-sharp wordsmiths like Payper Corleone, Idris King, D-Truce and Ycee in an impromptu freestyle session.
The Contract Thursday (CT) series finds DAP off album mode, experimenting different ideas and exploring diverse sounds. The weekly releases which are then compiled into tapes are usually deeply fascinating as they have the multi-talented rapper swinging in and out of genres over a stretch of weekly releases.
On ‘Thank God I’m Not Famous Yet‘, DAP reflects on how far he has come with his music over an electric hip-hop beat with a trap bounce.

Stiques is an independent artistic organic musician. Last year he collaborated with a Grammy-award winning audio engineer from Solange’s team to bring us his debut “Lamba” which was premiered on the PGM Radio Show. This year, he and his newly synthesized afro organic band ‘The Dark Assassins’, bring us this gentle vibration, recorded live, Titled “Exposé (Kiraní).
Stiques emphasizes on his newly found organic ideology as the future of Afrobeats and African music as a whole. He believes that in a highly technological world, the depth and spirit of music are in its most elementary form, that concentrates on capturing the actual vibrations of physical instruments as opposed to software use which is highly common these days.
The International Council For Infinite Articulate Lambastiqulation presents Stiques & The Dark Assassins in ‘Exposé (Kiraní)’, the live recorded version.
