For the first time in a long while, Nigerians appear to be very excited about the recently announced official soundtrack of the highly anticipated game, FIFA 21. And this is simply because Nigeria and its globetrotting sound Afrobeats is duly represented as Fireboy DML’s 2019 smash hit ‘Scatter’. This comes barely a week after ‘Champion’ off his recently-released sophomore album “Apollo” was played at Bayern Munich’s victory lap.

This feat is facilitated by the Empire x YBNL partnership that sees the international publishing company pushing the Nigerian label catalogue into relevant spaces across the global music market. This, therefore, makes Firbeoy the first local artist to be featured in an official FIFA soundtrack, a game which is widely played in this part of the world.

The game itself is scheduled to launch worldwide 9 October 2020, for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. ‘Scatter’ which was just released last year has accumulated 30+ Million streams across all streaming platforms.
