Nigerian-Canadian singer, Falana has added another feather to her hat, being only African performer at the 2019 Global Citizen Prize awards that held at Kensington Pavilion Royal, London. At the high profile event which will be broadcast around the world from December 20, Falana performed alongside global stars like Jennifer Hudson, John Legend, Raphael Saadiq, Sting, Stormzy. Among the other special guests at the event were H.E.R and Chris Martin.
For her thrilling set, the Alternative-soul songstress who also dabbles in Afrobeats delivered covers of Lewis Capaldi and Sia records. She also treated the audience to a live rendition of cuts off her soon-to-be-released debut album. Her set was so captivating that she bowed out to a standing ovation after her performance.

The event held by Global Citizen — a London-International advocacy organization– to award individuals who have made efforts to eradicate extreme poverty in the world in their capacities. One of the awardees was English musician and actor, Sting who won the Artist of the Year prize for using his platform to champion the course of protecting the world’s rainforests.

The Global Citizen Prize show will also air on Dec. 20, 2019, at 8 p.m. ET on NBC in the United States; and on Dec. 21 at 7 p.m. GMT on Sky TV in the UK.
