Off his just-released debut album, “Laughter, Tears and Goosebumps,” Fireboy DML has released the visuals for ‘Scatter’, one of the highlights of the tape. This is a Pheelz-produced dance-centred Afropop record, laced with EDM elements.
The video is directed by the seasoned Clarence Peters and is partly inspired by the box office smash, The Joker. It finds Fireboy DML and his mobs partying and having the time of their lives in alternate realities.

Nigerian alternative sensation, Johnny Drille has released a new single, titled ‘Finding Efe‘, his third single in 2019, after opening the year with the dual release of ‘Forever’ and ‘Shine’ which many cant seem to get enough of. He also made an appearance on Ladipoe‘s latest single ‘Jaiye‘ which has been gaining traction on the airwaves.
This single is actually the product of a real life experience, which Johnny Drille shared on his Twitter about two days ago, about a girl he met briefly in Benin but he missed out on his chance to get her contact.
On this new self-produced record, Johnny Drille is a shy secret admirer who timidly missed out on his chance to express himself to Efe (as implied by the title) and has therefore been looking for her ever since. He has made several futile efforts just to reach out to her and this song seems to be his last hope of reaching out to her. As expected with Johnny Drille’s songs, this record is highly rich in instrumentation and a vivid imagery.
The video opens with Johnny Drille, a photographer, packing his bags and getting in his ride for a long search for his crush. He goes around with a Polaroid picture in hand trying to locate Efe. The beautiful video is directed by Timmy Davies.Post Views: 486

On First listen, the instrumental is easy, the kind that you’d easily bump your head to without
even knowing it. The juxtaposition of singing, subtle rapping and dancehall give the record a
sing-song vibe which one can say is a template for “New Wave Music”. Characterised by the lyrical
ease in terms of metaphors, “Alté Cruise” has the right balance of catchy lines and phrases that
are bound to get the listener repeating them after a few listens… Lucidly put, it’s a good record.

Odunsi (The Engine) has shared a video for his latest releases, ‘Wetin Dey/ Better Days‘, which have been gaining much traction on the airwaves. Spanning just over four minutes the video contains visuals for the two singles with their separate but united themes.
A student of the past, the video is highly inspired by the pop culture of the late ’90s and early 2000s as it is fashioned after the music videos of the time, particularly in terms of the scenery, editing and fashion.
‘Wetin Dey‘ opens with Odunsi having a good time with friends. The video then transitions into a dark and intense video for ‘Better Days‘, seemingly inspired by classic Nollywood. It opens with a murder scene and later finds Odunsi and his cohort running off in vintage Mercedes Benz.Post Views: 208
