Since the stratospheric launch of the viral remix of Love Nwantiti (Ah Ah Ah), Ckay has continued to build a global presence with accomplishments such as The Most Shazamed Song in the World. The self-acclaimed Emo-Afrobeat artist has now delivered his long-awaited album, “Sad Romance,” which encapsulates his range of feelings towards love and all in between. The Emo-Pop project is a product of CKay’s vulnerability, which he expresses over well-crafted beats to demonstrate his skills. Ckay had earlier mentioned that he has experienced a myriad of emotions such as happiness, pain, depression which all reflects in his new album.
The 12-track project includes songs like Leave Me Alone, You Cheated, I Cheated Too, Come Close ft. Ayra Starr, Soja, Samson and Deliliah feat. Myrah Andrade, Lose You ft. Ronisia and By Now including the previously released Watawi ft Davido, Focalistic, and Abidoza, You, Mmadu, Emiliana, and his Love Nwantiti record whose acoustic rendition has about 4.8 million likes on YouTube with 203m views 2nd highest in the world.
He has also announced that he will embark on a North American tour to promote the new body of work, ‘Sad Romance,’ in different cities in the US and Canada. The tour will kick off on October 1, and end on October 28, 2022.
