Amaarae Teams Up With Wande Coal On New Single ‘Spend Some Time’

Super gifted Ghanaian-American singer Amaarae has joined forces with Nigerian vocalist, Wande Coal on her new single titledSpend Some Time. This song is jointly produced by Obed and Rvdical The Kid. Rvdical The Kid also works with Mikemillz to mix and master the record.

Spend Some Time‘ comes after a long self-imposed hiatus from the Warrior Princess since the release of her critically acclaimed “Passionfruit Summers” EP. Although, it’s important to note that in this gap, she has appeared as a featured guest on a number of records. One of her most memorable performance is on Santi‘s ‘Rapid Fire‘. The 2018 smash hit in which she delievers a striking and memorable verse that left many craving for more.

On this Wande Coal-assisted mid-tempo record, the soft-voiced singer calls for her absent lover to spend some more time regardless of the conditions. With her amiable vocals,  her warmth shines through the record as her mastery as a lyricist is also on full display.

Wande Coal also delievers a beautiful performance and closes the record with a scintillating chant that is reminiscent of his delivery on ‘So Mi So‘. On the record, the two display deeply fascinating and seamless chemistry that sets the record on the straight path to radio success.

The David Nichol-Sey directed dark-themed video finds a lonely Amaarae on a red-sheeted bed, craving her absent lover. She then steps into the club to enjoy the night with her friends who are clearly excited to have her around.

Spend Some Time‘ is easy to sink to and therefore comes highly recommended from us at the PGM Club. Check out a snippet below.
