The last we heard from Alpha Ojini music-wise was his Christmas-themed year closer ’12 Days’. In that record, he underscores the spirit of the celebration, urging people to share love in the festivities. But earlier today the rapper came off his holiday and finally released his first drop of 2020 titled ‘Indaboskee’. And as the title suggests, the record is inspired by the current viral sensation, Prophet Odumeje.
Just a few seconds into the song, you can tell Alpha is just here to have fun. He steps into character, rapping melodically as the prophet in the first person narrative. Some of these lines are crafted off the viral hilarious clips of his impassioned speeches or dramatic entrances or lousy WWE-themed deliverance sessions.
In the final verse though, Alpha takes off the mask and bares his mind on the cleric’s tantrums and his unguarded followers. “I ain’t got no qualms if a preacher’s tryna ball/ but hypocrisy I ain’t entertaining that at all,” he raps.
