Afropop star Adekunle Gold, features American singer Lucky Daye in new song “Sinner”. Lucky Daye is an American artist signed to Tunji Balogun’s Keep Cool. The cover photo of the song shows AG Baby with his partner Simi, locked in a tight embrace surrounded by serene waters.
On this track, the singer discusses sin. We are led through a love story that is codependent, toxic and even violent. To the singer, loving her is his greatest sin. The intensity of what he feels he has no doubt, can lead him to pull a trigger. AG is possessive in this song, he considers this woman his ultimate temptation and if he cannot have her, no one else will. This is Adekunle’s follow up to his “It is what it is”. Sinner was produced by Blaise Beats. Listen here .

It’s been six months since we got any music from our beloved alternative sensation Johnny Drille. But to our delight, this self-imposed hiatus has come to an end as he has released a new single, to uplift and “distract us from the madness” titled ‘Something Better’. For this new record, his first single since his stirring celebration of love on ‘Count On You’ he teams up with EDM beatsmith, Sigag Lauren who produced the uptempo single.
In ‘Something Better’ Johnny Drille is very honest to himself and his love interest that he has issues being committed in relationships. In fact, the record opens with a soundbite of a conversation between two women that confirm Johnny is a player. But there is something different this time: he is truly and deeply in love with her.
He repeatedly tries to warn her off that he might not be the best for her. But he is also helpless as finds himself running back to her love, one which is strong enough for him to backtrack and change his ways from a player to a “something better guy.”

Adekunle Gold fondly called AG Baby releases brand new single ” It is what it is”. This is his debut single for the year and a follow up to his 2020 “Afropop Vol. 1” which was his transition from highlife/jazz to pop music. With his new single, he shows once again that he can genre bend and excel at whatever style of music he picks.
